Overview

This site, near Lyon in France, has a total surface area of 9.3 Ha and a total reactor capacity of 190 m³ for the industrial production of advanced intermediates and APIs with volumes ranking from 5 kg to multi-hundred tons per year.

Pilot Units

The versatile pilot plant in Chasse-sur-Rhône provides for process scale-ups, the supply of clinical batches and the regular production of low volume compounds under cGMP.

Equipped with all the necessary utilities (low/high temperature, hydrogenation, distillation) and equipment (reactors from 100 to 1,000 L, clean rooms.), the pilot plant is the perfect example of a production organization that makes for a smooth transition between lab and industrial scale.

Batch sizes of finished products may vary between 5 to 100 kg involving several stages of chemical synthesis.

To support the chromatography technique development, the pilot is equipped to scale up processes on its two state-of-the-art 50 and 200 mm diameter Multi-Column Chromatography machines (also known as MCC, SMB, Varicol® processes).
