Chromatography Courses
The success of a chromatographic process basically depends on two elements:
- (1)
proper optimisation of the process conditions - (2) reliable and stable operation of the equipment.
The proper optimisation of the operating conditions is often not simple, for several reasons. Firstly, many parameters are involved, some of them often not being considered with sufficient attention in the optimisation strategy. The pore size and the eluent viscosity are two examples among many.
Secondly, optimised preparative chromatography means, most of the time, working under non-linear conditions. The mathematics involved to describe the underlying phenomena are not simple. Thirdly, since the bottom line is often the cost of the process, economic factors have to be - or should be - considered. As it is well-known, the best process in terms of chromatographic science is not necessarily the cheapest one.
The proper operation of a piece of equipment is, to a large extent, related to the quality of construction. Everything is done at Novasep Process to design and build reliable and robust pieces of equipment. But this does not eliminate the fact that these units must be properly maintained and that problems may arise. Solving these problems requires appropriate knowledge of the chromatographic process and of the equipment itself so that the cause(s) of a symptom can be quickly found.
Novasep Process offers a new 3 day chromatography course including:

This training course is organised both in France and in the USA. The audience is limited to 5-20 participants, so that the course can be interactive and ensure fruitful discussions. The language used is English. The fees for this 3 day course are 1,295 Euros (or 1,595.00 USD).
N.B. : The 3 courses cannot be separated.
This course is intermediate level, destined for anyone wishing to learn how to scale up chromatography processes and/or interested in optimization of preparative chromatography processes.
It provides attendees with a good understanding of factors controlling separations in preparative mode, technology of chromatography at large scale and critical issues related to packing materials. Additionally, attendees get a good working knowledge of continuous chromatography and SFC processes including optimization and applications.
This course is also a good opportunity for participants to meet colleagues from other companies.
Personalised courses are also organised, either at Novasep Process facilities or at the Customer’s site. The number of participants is not limited in this case and the topics covered can be tuned to the particular request of the Customer.
Practical workshops can also be organised on special topics such as, for example, column packing.
