Expertise

Novasep acquired PharmaChem Technologies, a multi ton API production capacity in December 2007, in order to expand geographically, and to gain new customer access. The PharmaChem facility is cGMP compliant, FDA and PDMA inspected with a 40 year track record for flexibility, reliability and expertise.

PharmaChem offers custom manufacturing services from late stage clinical trials through to commercial production for API’s and regulated intermediates. Its location in Freeport, Bahamas, provides a tax efficient manufacturing base, and is also close to a world class deep water trans shipment container port, which along with Freeport’s International airport allows ease of supply to it’s customers on a worldwide basis.

The PharmaChem acquisition strengthens Novasep’s position as a leader in the global supply of active molecules for the Life Sciences industries.

Equipment

Flexibility

Manufacturing platforms include Plant 2, a bulk API Plant with reactors ranging from 4M³ to 25M³ , Plant 1, a fine API Plant with reactors ranging from 0.2M³ to 8M³, a Pilot Plant with Pilot and Bench Scale Reactors.
Experience and expertise in a range of chemical process steps, including Hydrogenations, Coupling, Alkylation, Cleavage, Condensation, Esterification, Optical Resolution and Grignard Reactions.
Capacity available both in equipment and land space. 40 of the 62 total acres are available for long term growth, in a regulatory environment that encourages responsible industrial expansion.
