Applications

Used in the synthesis of pharmaceutical products: antiviral (HIV, Hepatitis), antiulcer, gastroesophageal reflux and in the development of oncologic drugs:

  • MAME is a milder alkali reagent compared to the corresponding sodium or calcium alkoxides
  • a solution, easy to dose
  • MAME can eliminate traces of moisture from solvents
  • MAME can be used as catalyst for anhydrous reactions were hydrolysis or dehydration potential exists
  • MAME can be used as catalyst or co-catalyst in manufacturing polyolefins
  • MAME can be used in Meerwein-Pondorf reactions and Methanolysis
  • MAME can be used in the alkoxylation of fatty alcohols

Other application areas for MAME are the coating of metal material for electromechanical hardware or the deacidification of paper (conservation of books).
