Hydrazine and Hydrazine derivatives are handled on large scale (>100 mt). These reagents give access to a variety of 1,2-diazatype heterocycles as well as to thiosemicarbazides and azo compounds.

Mitsunobu reaction
The Mitsunobu Reaction is a very mild method for dehydrations with mixtures of azodicarboxylic esters/amides and triphenylphosphine (TPP) or phosphite. While the intermolecular dehydration leads to esters, ethers, thioethers and isothiocyanates, the intramolecular variant gives access to lactones and lactames. (more information on Mitsunobu reaction)
