Applexion® SSMB for guaranteed performance

Novasep has developed the Applexion® Sequential Simulated Moving Bed (SSMB), a continuous chromatography process which is a perfect fit for the purification of bio-based chemicals, such as polyol building blocks. It allows good flexibility and a better usage of resins.

The Novasep process is based on two steps involving our Applexion® SSMB technology:

  • ion exclusion, to separate polyols from salts
  • affinity, to separate polyols from sugar
