* Packing Method Description:
- Direct: Direct replacement of the buffer with the slurry inside the column. An operator opens the slurry and piston valves in order to flow the slurry from the bottom to the top of the column. Buffer is sent back to buffer tank.
- Recycling: This step can be done at the end of the direct packing step: when the level in slurry tank is low, the buffer is sent back to slurry tank instead of buffer tank. This operation is also used for packing very soft gel.
