NS2P is a third generation  process marketed by Novasep. Through a collaboration with FinnSugar/Cultor as part of the FAST program, we are able to provide a complete range of highly efficient, licensed and reliable separation systems. NS2P systems are based on SMB technology and allow the simultaneous separation of 3 fractions. The most popular application using this system is for betaine recovery from beet molasses.

We devote a large part of our resources to the development of continuous chromatographic technologies and have acquired great expertise for supplying the industry with high performance systems, integrating evaporation units for energy-efficient product recovery. .

Main Applications: Betaine Recovery from Beet Molasses and Bioethanol Vinasses

In collaboration with Danisco Animal Nutrition, Novasep has developed and scaled up cost-effective and environmentally-friendly processes based on NS2P, so as to promote two main side-streams from beet processing factories:

• Molasses from beet sugar production
• Vinasses from beet derived bioethanol production

But since the NS2P technology is based on SMB chromatography technology and allows the simultaneous separation of 3 fractions, it can be applied to any fractionation process where one or two purified products are targeted from a complex feed mixture.
