Our Supersep units are environmentally friendly thanks to the use of supercritical CO₂ as a mobile phase and with our CO₂ recycling technology. For late development and production, you need a cost effective, robust and environmentally friendly route. High optical purity, yield and productivity are a prerequisite. You also need versatile and flexible equipment to scale production up or down following market demand.

Prochrom® Varicol is the optimal equipment for your industrial-scale chiral chromatography. Varicol®is aprocess derived from the Simulated Moving Bed (SMB) technology and offers state-of-the-art continuous chromatography for the separation of binary mixtures. Efficient and integrated solvent recycling translates into lower operational costs and minimizes solvent consumption.

Designed to be an integrated continuous operation, Varicol® systems include an eluent evaporation unit with automated solvent recycling capabilities along with a dedicated product dryer. When you get to commercial scale, your dry racemic mixture is fed into the system and purified enantiomer is removed from the dryer.
