Large-scale ozonolysis

We have implemented ozonolysis capabilities for the preparation of chemical intermediates at pilot and industrial scale - batch size from 30 to 250 kg.

Ozonolysis reactions are a very powerful tool in synthetic chemistry to give access to a broad range of key functional groups. Ozone reacts with alkenes to give access to either the corresponding aldehydes or ketones. Alcohols can be obtained upon reductive work-up and carboxylic acids after oxidative treatment. The ozone-promoted cleavage of alkynes to carboxylic acids and mild oxidation of nitroalkanes to ketones have also been reported.
