BioSC™ Pilot is a chromatography skid for the purification of biologics (such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), recombinant proteins, blood factors...), from early pilot phase to small commercial production.

Depending on molecule properties (size, charge, hydrophobicity, biorecognition), our product ranges allow for several purification techniques:

  • Reverse Phase Chromatography (RP HPLC),
  • Normal Phase Chromatography (NP HPLC),
  • Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC),
  • Ion Exchange Chromatography (Anion and Cation) (IEX),
  • Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC),
  • Affinity Chromatography (AC).

The system has been designed to overcome your biomolecules production challenges:

Integrated Viral Inactivation

The patented BioSC™ Pilot Viral Inactivation integrated feature enables full automation and integration of the VI, as well as chromatography process management with a single skid.

BioSC™ Pilot can work

  • in static mode with a 100% tank-based and fully automated process;
  • in dynamic and faster mode with inline acidification (with pH acidification occurring during the liquid transfer).

All parameters are monitored and controlled by the same software.

In-line buffer preparation

Buffer preparation often causes bottlenecks in biopharmaceuticals manufacturing operations as it requires space, time, and resources. To make this stage more efficient, we included an exclusive in-line buffer preparation feature in our BioSC™ Pilot system.

This unique and powerful functionality automatically prepares solutions with the right combination of pH, conductivity and concentration from mother solutions. These three parameters are continuously monitored and controlled by a dedicated algorithm to guarantee accuracy and fast response.

 

BioSC™ Predict, exclusive simulation and optimization software

Predict is an exclusive simulation and optimization software for the development of intensified chromatography processes for biopharmaceutical purification.

Combining this process characterization method with the BioSC™ Predict software, users can switch from batch chromatography to a streamlined continuous chromatography process, ready to be tested with BioSC™ Lab and BioSC™ Pilot.
