Ozonolysis reactions are a very powerful tool in synthetic chemistry to give access to a wide range of key functional groups. Ozone reacts with alkenes to give access to either the corresponding aldehydes or ketones. Alcohols can be obtained upon reductive work-up and carboxylic acids after oxidative treatment. The ozone-promoted cleavage of alkynes to carboxylic acids and mild oxidation of nitroalkanes to ketones have also been reported.
Our ozonolysis capabilities are dedicated to the preparation of chemical intermediates at pilot and industrial scale, from 30 to 250 kg.
Our Chasse-sur-Rhône site, located in France near to Lyon, has more than 10 years of experience in ozonolysis.
